It was impossible not to plan a passage through Zabriskie point when crossing the Death Valley. The rocks that were the bed of a lake that dried up a few million years ago rose and tilted before being eroded by water and wind, revealing these incredible colours in the rising sunlight.

Pas possible de ne pas prévoir un passage par Zabriskie point en traversant la Vallée de la Mort. Les roches qui constituaient le lit d'un lac asséché il y a quelques millions d'années se sont soulevées et inclinées avant d'être érodées par l'eau et le vent, dévoilant ces couleurs incroyables, dans la lumière du jour qui se lève.

We don't really take the time to look at the night sky anymore, yet what a trip each time, wherever we are.

There are few trees in Lofoten. Birch trees like this one are among the only ones to accomodate soggy and even frosty soils, and harsh winters, as here on Vestvågøy.

Il y a peu d'arbres aux Lofoten. Les bouleaux comme celui-ci sont parmi les seuls à apprécier les sols détrempés voir gelés et le climat rude des hivers, comme ici sur Vestvågøy.

At that hour, the sun was supposed to be rising, according to my information. I waited a bit and took a photo anyway, thinking that it had to be somewhere... I looked at the picture, searched again, but I'm still not sure exactly where it is... And you, do you see it?

These two puffins are watching from the corner of their eyes this photographer who is dangerously approaching the edge of this cliff in Hermaness National Park, north of the Shetland Islands. In the distance, the northern gannets scattered this large rock on the shores of Unst Island and the sky is filled with their cries.

Ces deux macareux moines observent du coin de l'oeil ce photographe qui s'approche dangereusement du bord de cette falaise dans le parc national d'Hermaness, au nord des Shetland. Au loin, les fous de bassan constellent ce gros rocher au bord des côtes de l'île d'Unst et le ciel est rempli de leur cris.
