I had hoped to take more images of this nesting Flycatcher, but alas, RoboCop in the form of an Ontario Provincial Park Warden (fresh out of Robo School and overly eager leave his mark on dangerous offenders such as myself), ended that dream. Let me elaborate. For the past ten years, I have had free run of an obscure park called Rock Point Provincial Park (located in Dunnceville ON.), documenting its subjects. This nest happend to be on a road marked "MINISTRY personel only" and being quick to preach to anyone that will listen, I figured that I was exempt. Mr. RoboCop thought otherwise. Apparently it is OK to walk in the ditch a couple of metres off the road, but vehicular traffic is forbidden. Perhaps its the park sewer pump house which places it off limits to terrorists such as myself.

Now I understand that society exists by setting rules and limits, but ten years of freedom is a pretty good arguement that exceptions should be permissible. I don't take offence at my lose of freedom, but having to lug 300 lbs of camera gear around because the new security guard is a dweeb, will probably result in a herniated disc or two, to say nothing of my bruised ego.

Well Mr. Wanabe RobCop, you are taking your job far to seriously. I thought the mandate of Park Security was to shut everyone up at 11.00 PM, and to bust poor fun loving vacationers that inadvertantly wander off campsite with beer in hand.

And whats with the bullet proof vests - afraid of my 600mm Canon haha? Flak jackets - really...
