I know - a static shot of a bird on a fence pole. I posted it because it was the first half decent Savanah Sparrow that I shot. The stupid things are so small (and active) that it is hard to get a decent shot.

Noting that this Savannah Sparrow kept returning to a surveyors stake (image 20130430-0105) to herald its calls, I strapped a couple of alternate perches to it - voila, good perch, good image (no secrets involved)..
