I was out chasing thunderstorms last night (11.00 PM till 3.AM - and yes, I am friggin beat today). Trouble with lightning is that you don't know where it will strike (oh, and make sure you stand near a tree so that your tripod is not the highest point on the horizon). Yes, you might get scourched from a close call, but that beats the heck out of getting zapped! I digress.... I had my camera set up on this old church as a centre of interest. When the heavens wouldn't co-operate I shot some sky and church pictures and put them together as a montage. Yes, I am a fraud, but I like the shot.
While not a wildlife photo, this image has the distinction of being my first shot of the new year. I woke up to rain and fog - birds were all hunkered down in the bushes and well hidden. Had to settle for some old architecture.
