I've posted three different birds today, all perching in the same dead tree. While the Bunting (due to the crop factor) seems the largest of the bunch, the reality is that the cuckoo is twice as big as the cardinal, and four times the size of the bunting.

While the cuckoo is the least colourful of the bunch, this elusive bird is one of the most difficult to get a picture of. So, yup - it made my day..
