Many think that bird photography is all about luck: being at the right place at the right time.
Noting that this Savannah Sparrow kept returning to a surveyors stake (image 20130430-0105) to herald its calls, I strapped a couple of alternate perches to it - voila, good perch, good image (no secrets involved)..
