While on holidays last week (Bruce Penninsula, Ontario) I made the Ruby Throat my challenge of the week. A $4.95 feeder and a bit of sugar water was all it took. After installing the feeder, this fellow showed up within 10 minutes. Over a three day period, I took over 500 pictures of him. The feeding cycle (you could set your watch by it) was every 15 minutes.
Camera: Nikon D3S c/w 600/F4 lens and 1.4 teleconverter. ISO 2500, shutter speed 1/5000 second at F5.6 on a Gitzo tripod with Wimberly head. The camera was in manual mode, I used auto focus.
