GHO Update: Dinner is delivered
Mom flies in with what looks like half a rabbit. This is a first - all other meals have been packrats and mice. Also, this is earlier than usual, only 7pm. Look how the owlet has grown. It is now 5 days old and able to stand and hold up its head. Two eggs are still there. If they are going to hatch it should be soon. (This is on a porch of a second story apartment of a friend) Tucson.

GHO Update
Here is Great Horned Owlet #1 four days old. It has grown noticeably and is becoming quite active. One of the eggs is damaged so I have no hope for that one. The other should hatch soon. A pocket mouse and a packrat are stashed in the pot for later dining. This video was taken through a window right next to the pot while mom took a brief break to stretch her wings on a nearby pole.
