View All Sizes (see above image) - This is a 360 degree wide-angle cylindrical panorama made from (25) 4,256 x 2,832 pixel images. The original images were captured in Nikon RAW format and batch-processed into TIFFs. (10) of the TIFFs were imported into Adobe Photoshop CS3 for selective cropping of duplicate people, cars, suitcases, etc. and re-saved on a full-size transparency layer. The resultant (25) TIFFs were imported into PTGui Pro 8.2.2 for stitching . . . in addition to the automatic identification of control points, time was spent selecting manual control points to improve blending of the final result. The final saved file (.PSB) was 38,720 pixels wide x 3,418 pixels high. This was imported into Adobe Photoshop CS3 for final cropping to 30,000 pixels wide x 1,659 pixels high . . . this was done to 1) remove an unwanted table that the camera had been sitting on, and 2) to reduce the size such that it could be saved as a JPEG. One copy was saved as a 34.7MB file and a second was saved as a 14.5MB file for upload to flickr.
