It has been a month since my father passed away, young at heart, at the age of 75. He was in good health, and his youthful spirit belied his age. An ardent football enthusiast, he passionately supported Argentina, Manchester United, and Mohun Bagan, each holding a special place in his heart. He approached life with an infectious zeal, exuding a vibrancy that often left me in awe. Despite his age, he lived with a vitality that surpassed even my own.
As a father, he went above and beyond, fulfilling every role with unwavering dedication. Despite being separated by distance for the past two decades, not once did he let his spirits waver during our phone conversations. His unwavering optimism and unwavering support were constants in my life, providing a pillar of strength even from afar.
I find myself at a loss for words as I attempt to pen this tribute. My father's remarkable charisma and unwavering conviction were qualities I can only hope to emulate.
Whenever I found myself in trouble during my school days, he would playfully remind me, "Someone is always watching you." Today, I find solace in the thought that he continues to watch over me from wherever he may be.
Rest in peace, Dad.
