The Netherlands Texel
In nature reserve "De Hors" on Wadden isle Texel with the delicate early morning light amidst young coastal dunes. Sometimes it is rewarding to keep my flying camera real low. Image made with kite and camera (attached to the kite's line). © Tom Kisjes

The Netherlands
Impressions in early morning light of coastal dune development in nature reserve "De Hors" on the Wadden isle Texel. There are not that many spots where one still can experience how the present Dutch western coast was formed, from about 5.000 years ago. One of the dune building plant species is European marram grass (Ammophila arenaria-Helm). Image made with kite and camera (attached to the kite's line). © Tom Kisjes

The Netherlands-Eilandspolder
Originally four mills were used to drain the Eilandspolder. The only one left is windmill The Goshawk (1576), although it has lost its function and is not located on the original spot in village De Rijp. Nowadays The Goshawk can be found in the northwestern cormer of the polder, between the villages Grootschermer and Schermerhorn. Image made with kite and camera (attached to the kite's line). © Tom Kisjes Session with fellow KAP-er Ramon (Kappix), whose Levi light kite is visible.

The village Zuiderwoude is said to be the oldest village in the Waterland district, not far away from Amsterdam. About thousand years ago a settlement for farming pioneers in the peat marshes. Nowadays a place to be for those who can affort themselves a costly house in the countryside. On the left side in the distance the former island Marken is visible.
