The Netherlands
One of my favorite KAP spots with a view on the northern part of Polder Westzaan (Guisveld). A landscape generated by bog drainage and peat cutting. Lately, there's a lot of focus on the fact that intact bogs absorb carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide, whereas peat cutting and bog drainage turn them into powerful greenhouse gas emitters. And -not to mention in our country- subsidence. In the background the village Wormerveer is visible. Image made with kite and camera (attached to the kite's line). © Tom Kisjes
