View on the small church of hamlet Spaarnwoude, situated between Amsterdam and Haarlem. The church is nicknamed "The Truncated Tower". This tower is also the oldest part of the church (13th century). Spaarnwoude was build on an appr. 5.000 years old barrier beach, one of the oldest in The Netherlands. Use your imagination and think of a Dutch coastline of yesteryear on this spot. The current coastline lies 10 km westward. Image made with kite and camera (attached to the kite's line). © Tom Kisjes
