The image shows a part of nature reserve Polder Westzaan (Guisveld). This piece of meadow land turned into a marshland, because of a faulty water pump. An unintended puddle zone, but ideal for waterfowl and arriving migrating meadow birds like redshank (tureluur) and black tailed godwit (grutto).
