The Netherlands-Heemskerk
View on a ditch along the border of Heemkerk. "De Dije" used to be a creek of the "Oer-IJ", a former branch of the "Upper-Rhine", that once discharged in the North Sea. Not far from Heemskerk lies the (visible) village Uitgeest.
