The Netherlands Hogebeintum church
Hogebeintum (Frisian: Hegebeintum) is a small village in the province of Friesland. Hogebeintum is home to the highest artificial dwelling hill, or terp, in the Netherlands, measuring around 8.8 metres (29 ft) tall. The high ground of the terp was historically (from 600 BC) used as a place of refuge during unusually high tides and storm floods, in a time without dykes.

It typysk Fryske tsjerkje (mei stikken dowestien út de 13e iuw) dat boppe-op de terp fan Hegebeintum stiet kin besichtige wurde; ûnderoan de terp is in besikerssintrum.
