The Netherlands-Wervershoof
Near the village Wervershoof lies Koopmanspolder, a nature-development project and showcase for future water management. The polder is connected with Lake IJssel with the help of a fishfriendly axial pump. Since 2014 experiments with different water levels have been carried out in this polder. After three years of research it is concluded that the concept inland shores is well suited to store water and adds extra value for flora and fauna.
