The Netherlands-Texel
View on nature reserve "The Slufter", with a salt marsh and tidal channels, in open connection to the North Sea. Every now and then, when a northwesterly storm coincides with spring tide, this area floods. Plant species like Sea-lavender (Limonium vulgare-lamsoor), Sea wormwood (Artemisia maritima-zeealsem) and Marsh samphire (Salicornia sp.-zeekraal) thrive in such an environment.
