"The Vrouw Venner" is a hollow-post mill, originally built in 1632 to drain the Vrouwe Vennepolder. This mill was more or less rebuilt in 1835. Nowadays the Rijnlandse Molen foundation is the owner of the mill. Over the years drainage of the polder by this mill became difficult because of a continuous reduced polder level. To solve this problem a.o. the axe of the waterwheel was lowered by 72 cm. during a renovation In 1997/98.
