Netherlands, Camperduin, Hondsbossche zeewering
In connection with the rising of the sea this dike is considered to be one of the weak links along the Dutch coast. Strengthening the dike using sand is presented as the best option: "a lovely beach will be created with new possibilities for nature, recreation and water sports." Experts in the field of coastal protection confirm that spraying sand offers many benefits in the long term as well. But nature conservation points out the present rich bird- and marine life along the dike.
Anyway, the plan will be executed in the period july till octobre 2014.
