Doing day trips from Denaru in Fiji is a great way to visit the Mamanuca islands. We went to Castaway Island and then a snorkel trip on a boat. I couldn't dive as it was <24 hours til I was flying. I didn't need to! We one to a reef just off Mana Island and it was superb! Amazing 30+m vis and pristine coral reef. The best I have seen for a very long time. There were no dead, broken or bleached section. Maybe we haven't destroyed them all yet.
This is a typical shot adjusted for white balance to bring back the colour... and just how colourful is it :-)
The reef was deeper than you would expect and with the great vis, it went on forever.
The divers drifted with us but 10m down. I was duck diving down about 7m and was nearly at their depth.... we weren't missing anything.
