Found at Sibari, Cantiere di Casa Bianca, on the site of the Greek city of Thurii (Pleiades), in a Roman-period sanctuary of Isis, in a 1st c. CE context. The earlier object may have been reused to represent the Apis bull.
Originally produced in the late 5th-early 4th c. BCE, possibly modified in the 1st c. CE.
