Zhaoqing Catholic Cathedral ( 肇庆天主教堂 )
Located at 6, Shang Qing Wan ( 上清湾 ), Gaoyao district of Zhaoqing City, this Gothic church was first built in 1872 upon the original church by Italian missionary Matteo Ricci ( 1552-1610 ) who landed in Zhaoqing on September 10th, 1583, on his firt leg of the Chinese Mission, and he ended up living and working in Shang Qing Wan Bay, over Xi Jiang River for six years during which he built the world's first " Portugese-Chinese Dictionary " and sketched " Kunyu Wanguo Quantu ."
