Like a proper tourist I took hundreds of photos of this iconic structure during my time in Paris. This, however, is perhaps my favourite mostly because I have never seen it portrayed this way. While it was freezing and the weather was the worst that it had been throughout my stay, waking up at 6am for a walkabout paid off. Interestingly enough, this was the morning after the major terrorist attacks in Paris. Coincidental symbolism of a dark time for Parisians?
