This oystercatcher was sharing the log with a mate but got very annoyed at some point... I think it got tired of being followed .... So this is not the relax stretch but rather the "Stop riding on my coattails" type of stretch... I guess just like people, sometimes the birds can have a hard time reading body language. And for those who follow me, unlike the oystercatcher, I do not mind being followed, so thank you very much for all your visits and comments. They are greatly appreciated. As a piece of update, I was finaly able to go back to the Esquimalt Lagoon today and my Killdeer that was crying for help a few days ago is still around and seems to be doing well... I was amazed. I could not see the eggs but I clearly saw her on the nest.... and doing her broken wings act as people were walking by.... Hopefully she can keep up with the traffic. View Large for details
