The Oeiras Marina is a complex made up of an oceanic swimming pool, a yacht and sail boat harbour and a seaside walkway. This is where the river Tagus becomes the Atlantic Ocean and I never get tired of this place. In the background, you can see the 25 de Abril Bridge, which connects the margins of the River Tagus.

While walking along the seaside walkway in Oeiras, you go by the Fort of Santo Amaro do Areeiro (on the left, with a view of the Santo Amaro beach. My morning walk starts a few hundred metres before the harbour, goes all the way to the end of the beach you see here and a couple of kilometres beyond that - and back again to a total between 6.5 and 7 km.
You don't get to see these warm afternoon tones in the morning, but the light is always beautiful by the sea :)

Ao caminharmos no Passeio Marítimo de Oeiras, passamos pelo Forte de Santo Amaro do Areeiro (à esquerda), com vista para a Praia de Santo Amaro. A minha caminhada matinal começa algumas centenas de metros antes do Porto de Recreio (junto à Praia da Torre), vai até ao final da praia de Santo Amaro e alguns quilómetros mais além (até ao fim do Passeio Marítimo e da Praia de Paço d'Arcos) - e novamente de volta, num total entre 6,5 e 7 km.
Estes tons quentes da tarde não se vêem frequentemente pela manhã, mas a luz é sempre linda à beira-mar :)

The Oeiras Marina is a complex made up of an oceanic swimming pool, a yacht and sail boat harbour and a seaside walkway. This is where the river Tagus becomes the Atlantic Ocean and I never get tired of this place.
Sailing is just one of the many water-related activities constantly going on around the marina - having the Bugio lighthouse that close as you sail by, is simply the cherry on top :)

Navegar à vela é apenas uma das muitas actividades aquáticas que estão sempre a decorrer na zona da marina - ter o farol do Bugio ali tão perto ao navegar, é simplesmente a cereja no topo do bolo :)
