Alto Adige (South Tyrol) in Northern Italy is one of the most beautiful areas I have ever visited on this planet (and I have been to quite a few). This image of the very first snow early September on magnificent Seceda mountain in the Dolomites I shot in much happier times, when nobody knew or even thought about something like a corona virus. I wish all the great people in Italy the best of luck and much strength in these trying times! You will get through this! And then I will come back to this most beautiful part of the world.

A sea of colorful night-market tents in an ocean of grey concrete. That's Bangkok in 2020 for you! Well... one aspect of it. There is quite a bit more to this city. Not all pleasant though. But always exciting. And if you wait until dusk for the lights to turn on, it might actually look quite beautiful.

... on Lofoten Islands. The long magical blue hour after sunset in the tiny village of Hamnøy makes you want to come home to one of those romantic red houses. It's cold, though. The (salt-)water of the Fjord has just started to turn into ice.

After hours of hiking through the night deep inside the Dolomite mountains we made it well in time for the Milky Way to line up over the Dolomite's most famous mountain: Tre Cime di Lavaredo. That wasn't luck, tough. It was the result of careful planning and hard work. Hope the result was worth the effort.

On the beaches of Northern Germany, the beach loungers look like small houses to protect you against the elements. So you can imagine how the weather here used to be. Not anymore, though. With global warming, nowadays it's often warm and sunny and the castle-like constructions look mightily out of place.
