An afternoon stroll through the KGNU studio gardens.

As you can see, it is quite wet here in Colorado right now. After three weeks of rain, it's starting to feel a lot like the Pacific Northwest...or Copenhagen.

This is Lucy. She is a robin who has taken up residence in our front yard. It appears that she is getting ready to become a parent.

She sits vigilantly...ready to protect her nest from any manner of squirrels, pirates or marauders. So far she appears to be successful in her efforts.

I plan to keep an eye on her and her babies as they mature. I'll make sure the bird bath is full and I'll shoo away any stray neighborhood cats, should they come nosing around.

I'll update you on her status as more details become available. ;)

Why are there so many songs about rainbows?

I had to pull my car over to the side of the road on my way home from work last night to take this shot. I'm really glad I did...I almost convinced myself to keep going.

Today has been a weird day. Any time I surf the internet anymore, I end up feeling like crap afterwards. I do it to myself too...which makes it even more frustrating. Comments sections are the worst, and I can't help but click on them every time. It doesn't even matter what website. It's upsetting to me that we have this incredible technology that allows us to communicate and share ideas from anywhere in the world to anywhere else in the world and we use so much of it to spread negativity, fear, and hatred. It really gets under my skin. I was just very inconsiderate to a man on the phone who was just doing his job. I took it upon myself to inform him of everything I dislike about their service. I should have just said no thanks and politely ended the call...but I didn't. Now I feel even worse.

I think I'll go listen to a rainbow song.

I love the earth. It's a great planet. My favorite, you could say. Saturn is pretty awesome too, but there's no water. Hopefully we can keep our water clean and usable for many generations to come. Soil too...that's pretty important. It'd be nice if we could find a clean, safe, and reliable source of energy soon. I'm gonna start working on that. Also, let's try to re-use and re-cycle when we can. ;)
