There's a little story to this shot. We spent last weekend with friends in the Sierra Foothills and every morning we girls would take the two Doberman Pinchers for a walk in the woods. The first day, after a very short time, the dogs got the scent of something and almost pulled Carol, the owner of the dogs, down into the woods. A lot of noise ensued and, suddenly, we saw this little bear cub up in a tree. Needless to say, we decided to turn around rather than face a protective mother. I have regretted not having the presence of mind to get a shot of the little guy up in that tree. I guess I'm just too chicken.
