Shoshoni by bike - For some reason I'm still plugging away at the high-peaks-by-bike-from-Boulder thing. Last year was the Arapahos with Karl. This year I went to Shoshoni, the 12,967' peak on the Continental Divide south of Apache. It was my first time to attempt Shoshoni. The weather deteriorated while I was up high. I boulder-hopped from the summit through a hail storm to descend to Pawnee Pass. It wasn't fun, and then the lightning started. I was glad to get down to tree line. Of course by the time I was back to Lake Isabelle, the sun was poking through again. Shoshoni ended up being an 11-hour effort.
