Vedauwoo May 2007 - I had 4 days set aside to go to Moab this weekend. However, the forecast there was an unusually warm 95°F all weekend. I considered Fruita as an alternative, but the 88°F forecast sounded too hot there as well. In Laramie the forecasted highs were 75-79°F, probably warmer than usual for this time of year but very pleasant sounding. After last year's trip to Vedauwoo I've wanted to get back there and do more mountain biking. It was easy to convince Kevin since Vedauwoo is a much shorter drive than Moab from Rawlins. Everyone else drove out to the heat or stayed at home instead.
So I biked 3 days around Vedauwoo, 2 of them with Kevin. The biking's great, fairly non-technical with not very long climbs. I'd like to get back here with Julie. It's a fairly short drive from Boulder, ~2.5 hours, a reasonable distance for a regular weekend.
