Taylor Glacier June 2006 - This was a fun snow climb. The snow was in decent shape though perhaps a bit soft. We didn't get a very early start, but it was a cooler day so that worked out. The snow field is called Taylor Glacier though there aren't any real glaciers in RMNP. We summited Taylor Peak (13,153') on the way to the Andrews Glacier descent.

We put our crampons on at the base of the snow in the middle of the photo. The snow was continuous all the way to the top. We topped out in the middle of the biggest rockless stretch on the horizon.

It was fun to watch the climbers on Petit Grepon after climbing it less than a week earlier.
