Taken from the East side of the Capitol building. The reflection is coming off of the skylight/roof of the brand new Capitol Visitor's Center, which is subterranean.

Pictured here are the skylights/ceilings of the National Portrait Gallery (left) and the Ronald Reagan Building (right), both in Washington, DC.

The courtyard of the National Portrait Gallery was enclosed by this ceiling a little over a year ago. It truly is a piece of art in of itself, and the now enclosed courtyard is one of my favorite spots in the city. It's perfect for reading, having a coffee, reviewing photos from the day, etc.

I'm interested to hear from you all if you like that I put both of these shots together or if you would have preferred I keep them separate. I feel like they compliment each other very well.
