For a good portion of 2 weeks during my recent trip to Alaska, I was roaming around the state with my friend and local Alaskan, Jason Dahlquist. We traveled many miles and camped in some incredible locations. Experienced every weather pattern imaginable and all kinds of different light. The only thing I didn't experience was darkness. Sunsets hovered around 11:30 and sunrise was 3:30, depending how far north we were. The farther north, the later the sunset and earlier the sunrise. In between those hours it was just dusky and would surprise you with 1 am color explosion. I didn't see a star the entire time there. Such a beautiful state and I barely scratched the surface. I can't wait to go back.
This is the first image I would like to share from the adventure. Taken during the first morning while camping and exploring in the Denali area.
