Farewell to the Godwits:

Come March, the Bar-tailed Godwits start getting ready to leave New Zealand shores to embark on their migration journey. On the way they stop off to refuel around the Yellow Sea before heading off to their final destination in Western Alaska. The birds usually wait for a favourable tail wind to start their journey and they usually depart in small batches.
