A shot from last fall that apparently fell through the cracks. I think this is a decent shot of the famed Maroon Bells. Not as spectacular as some, not as bad as others. It was a bit too early in the season but I worked with what I had.

Caught some colorful clouds a few nights ago at a local lake. I wanted to get a little closer to the cracks where the water had seeped through but there was barely enough ice to keep me out of the water. Plus it made lots of cracking sounds while I was shooting which told me I'd better stay put.

Taken this fall in Rocky Mountain National Park. The mountain is Long's Peak. This is another classic view and a photo I also forgot about. This was shot with a rented Canon 5D and 17-40mm f/4L. Nice kit, to be sure.

Anyway, let me know what you think about the photo. Thanks for looking!

The sun setting on Long's Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. This is from July. I missed the peak of the tundra wildflowers but there was still an amazing array of them when I was up there.

I recommend you view it on black

There was a nice sunset tonight. I recommend you view it on black for the full effect.

As I arrived there was a photographer folding up his tripod after lighting up a smoke to celebrate another brilliant Colorado sunset captured. He drove off as I set up. Sort of feel bad for the guy.

BTW, this isn't really meant to be a great image (I tend not to like the mirror image sunset shots that look like a cross between a Rorschach test and a bad tie die) but I did want to share it since it was pretty sweet light. Next time I'll try to put some thought into a composition ahead of time but I was not feeling great this evening.
