Another in my effort to learn from capturing iconic locations, aka reverse engineering.

This location is a few miles outside of Marble, Colorado down a Jeep trail. Outside of the photographic aspects, this was a cool place to hang out while I waited for the light to come around. When the front was finally lit, the light was extremely bright and took some work in post to smooth things out.

One of my few fall shots.

My Flickr friend Stephen Trainor alerted me to the existence of this amazing gem between Creede and Gunnison, Colorado. The whole drive is actually one of the more scenic drives in an unusually scenic state. I highly recommend it.

I shot this with a Canon 5D and 70-200mm f/4L. No filters.
