This is a wild Red-tailed Hawk that I photographed last December. Being a juvenile, it was very tame, almost too tame for its own good as numerous cars were pulling over and people were approaching it with iphones and small p/s cameras. This is almost a 50% crop taken with a 400mm lens with 1.4x extender for 560mm.

I photographed this juvenile Bald Eagle in harsh sidelighting as it was soaring low over a marsh just off the Ottawa River, Ottawa, Ontario.

This Osprey was originally perched on a dead tree finishing off a fish it recently caught. It turned to face me and I backed up to position myself where I thought it would take off. As fortune would have it, the Osprey flew low directly over me allowing me to get several images. Of course due to their large wingspan the wings were clipped so I cropped them off slightly more to reveal more detail on the intensity of its face. If you look carefully, remains of fish are still on its hooked bill. Another nice catch for both of us on my lunch break. Petrie Island, Ottawa, Ontario. Canon 7D, 400mm f5.6L, handheld.
