My wife and I decided to spend the afternoon at the coast at Heybrook Bay the other day and had a nice lunch. While she read her book, I ventured out onto the rocks. It was very windy and slippery, but just as the sun was setting, these crepuscular rays beamed across the sky.

Although the weather has been very wet it still has been worth getting out with the camera. I thought that Bowerman's Nose was a good bet for rainbows at sunrise the other morning. I waited as the belt of rain approached and captured this panoramic just before the rain hit - very rewarding!

I do love misty conditions as it can transform a familiar view to something quite spectacular. I captured this panoramic from Meldon Hill recently, looking towards Easdon Tor, just as the sun gained some power. I love the way it turns the most golden!

I opted for Combestone Tor the other morning instead of Plan A. The sunlight was delayed by some clouds on the horizon. I decided to hang around as a big storm cell approached. Suddenly a rainbow emerged behind me and caught me by surprise. It only lasted 4 minutes and in that short time my hands became completely numb!
