Some of my long time contacts will probably remember similar posts to this from my 2010 visit to Battle River. (I'm going through older photos, doing clean up)
Right outside our meal hut was this tree that was a favorite spot for bears to stop and have a good rub, LOL. We were eating breakfast, it was early and very cold out, grass was frosty and this sow and her two cubs came along and showed the tree some love. And it was just after a boar had done the same just ten minutes earlier. I was photographing this from the porch of the meal hut which was only about 20 feet or so from the bears and the tree. One of my favorite moments ever at Battle River.
