Alice ate some of the mushroom and shrank down to less than a tenth her normal size. "A good size for being able to move about and explore without being easily seen," she reasoned.

She wandered into a strange house and found herself in a room with many books and peculiar flat boxes with shiny metal discs. What the metal discs were for eluded her. Perhaps they were a type of collectable currency, like her uncle's coin collection, which had some Asian coins with holes in the center.
