Found it!

Situated on a hill overlooking Lough Gara, this is a fine stone ringfort built of stones which get progressively smaller near the top. Inside are stairways leading to the ramparts, as well as a wall niche under one of the stairs. There are two souterrains in the interior. It was partially rebuilt in the 18th century.

A very old iron kissing gate leads us to the stone fort. It was a very muddy walk once inside this gate.

An example of the stone wall that encloses this fort. The wall is about 4M tall and 2M wide, It is 20M in diameter.

This fort contains a number of souterrains. These are a common feature of Irish ringforts and cashels but few remain in such a good state of repair as these.

You can walk around the whiole of this ringfort upto the entrance.
