This is my go-to location when I have left it too late to find another good sunrise location. This spot by the water's edge is located at the end of the car park at Attenborough Nature Reserve. It's a particularly useful spot during the mid summer months when the sun rises at an hour that most normal folk might consider to be nearer to the middle of the night. For example, if I wanted to photograph the sunrise from Mam Tor, I would have to wake up about 2.30am in order to be on the hill and in position. I think I will wait for the autumn and winter months to do that one!
