Lamnamkok NP, Chiang Rai, Thailand

Family : Arctiidae
Sub-Family : Arctiinae
Species : Ceryx cf.sphenodes

Although listed as an Australian species C.sphenodes has been recorded in Thailand previously. However, species in the genus Ceryx are similar to those of the closely related Amata genus and are very difficult to identify to species level. For this reason I have only id'd this individual as "looks like" C.sphenodes.
It is a small daytime flyer with a wingspan of around 20mm and is considered to be bee or wasp mimic

All my insect pics are single, handheld shots of live insects.
