SXM is the airport code for the one you see here and nowadays it is also used as a short, and in my opinion, quite convenient way when talking about the whole island; both the Dutch as well as the French side. The pictures you usually see from that airport are taken at the far end seen from here, at Maho Bay. The big bay left of the airport is Simpson Bay.
