A view of Gladstone Pottery Museum from the car park at the rear. The various bottle kilns belonged to more than one pottery manufacturer, Roslyn Works and Gladstone Works being the two major contributors to the site, dating back to the 1860's, whilst pottery manufacture here dates back somewhat further, thought to be the late Eighteenth century.
Situated on the junction of Uttoxeter Road and Chadwick Street this site enjoys grade II* listed status and is a popular vistor attraction close to the town centre of Longton in Stoke-on-Trent, known by many as the Potteries.
Seven of the remaining forty nine bottle kilns are preserved in the museum. Stoke-on-Trent at one time contained approximately four thousand kilns.

Shining out on a bright winters day, the recently refurbished bottle kilns of the former Park Place Works, latterly Roslyn Works on Uttoxeter Road, Longton, look resplendent and good for many years to come. They form part of The Gladstone Pottery Museum and date back to around 1860, but parts of the site date back to the late eighteenth century, and are grade II* listed.
