Sivasailam is one of the picturesque spots in Alwarkurichi. There is a Shiva temple ( Paramakalyani Samedha Sivasailapathi ) built by Mr Anantharaman Iyer (Simson) on the banks of the Ghatana river. This is also en route to Ghatana Dam.
