Sometimes our efforts are rewarded - such was the case yesterday morning when I decided to get up early again and seek out another sunrise image.

I was undecided where to shoot, and driving along the coast I came across this location - I could see through the darkness at the time (thanks to a full moon and reasonably clear skies) some nicely exposed rocks sitting just above the tideline.

I went down, set up and waited for some colour, whilst grabbing a few other images of the rocks and receeding water etc.....

It didn't take long before the sky started to glow, and then a lovely pattern of colour and cloud sat before me - they contrasted nicely against the dark rocks and moss!!

Thanks for any comment, viewing or favorite for this and any of my other images - always very much appreciated....

Hope you have a terrific day and weekend ahead - I doubt I'll be up early for sunrise - my nephew's wedding tomorrow - so I hope I don't miss out on anything like this!! :-)

Breiðamerkursandur, Austurland, Island, 15.11.13.

A journey´s end, after hundred of years embedded in the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, the icebergs from glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón were released to the atlantic ocean and return to the black beach of Breiðamerkursandur.
