You couldn't believe our surprise as we crested the ridge. The clouds were seemingly held back by the will of some unknown force. We stood in awe.

A beautiful camp near the summit of Hinman. You can see our tent hanging near the edge of a 300-ft cliff. We placed a few rocks there and had one hell of a porch.

A week of skiing across the Alpine Lakes Wilderness will take me a week just to write about (and to edit the pics). It was so amazing. We saw this area in the perfect light, the perfect mood and there is not enough words to explain my excitement. While we suffered for 36 hrs through a storm in the tent, we were rejoiced when the clouds lowered and showed the heavens.
