This is a very atmospheric place to stop and take in the amazing Trotternish Ridge. This is the A855 towards Duntulm, Kilmuir and eventually into Uig.

The sweet smell of the gorse, it is like coconut? Loch Shin is one of Scotland's largest lochs and across the loch I think you can see Ben More Assynt?. Today it has a reasonable covering of snow which I was quite surprised about.
